All hydronic systems contain a fluid as a medium to transfer heat. That fluid in most cases is water and in some cases, where freeze protection is needed, it is a water and glycol mixture. Until now water has been the most efficient heat transfer fluid. With advances in nanotechnology, that has changed. By successfully adding nanoparticles into a transport fluid we now have a heat transfer fluid more efficient than water, and far more efficient than any glycol/water mixture whether it is Ethylene (EG) or Propylene (PG) glycol.
